Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Sonny Duncan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Colin Delaney! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Yves DeLean and Steve Smith.

Duncan dives in and grabs Delaney's left leg, looking for a takedown. Delaney pushes down on Duncan's head and hops out. The fight stays on the outside here - Duncan looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Duncan misses with a takedown attempt
and Delaney counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Duncan's guard now. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sonny Duncan. That's going to take a lot out of him. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Duncan not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Delaney accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Delaney has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Delaney trying to control the position from guard on top but Duncan is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Duncan wants to stand up but Delaney is controlling him.

so Delaney counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Duncan trying to control the position.
Delaney postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Delaney slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. The strikes coming from Delaney are missing the target in this wave of attacks. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Duncan is rocked! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Delaney has an Americana. Duncan didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Delaney is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Delaney hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Colin Delaney! Colin Delaney decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
