The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Born Jr doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Azevedo counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Born Jr working for a triangle but Azevedo defends it easily.
Azevedo controls from within his opponent's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Azevedo trying to control the position from guard on top but Born Jr is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Azevedo got a little sloppy there for a moment and Born Jr has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Azevedo has managed to get both his arms back between Born Jr's legs - danger averted.
Born Jr looking to hit a scissor sweep but Azevedo is one step ahead there.
Azevedo drops back looking for a leg! Born Jr is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Born Jr manages to kick Azevedo off! Azevedo jumps back into Born Jr's guard.
