The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Condit scores with a three punch combo!
It looks like Howard Stern has been cut. Stern misses with a takedown and Condit counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Stern! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Stern tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Condit wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Stern manages to get back to half guard. Stern looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Stern looking for submissions off his back. Condit wants to lay and pray for a moment but Stern keeps working. Condit knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Stern on the ground. Condit is looking for a kimura here.
Stern is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Condit pulls his head out easily. Condit missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Condit thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Stern manages to get to full guard.
Stern is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Stern is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Stern has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Condit can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Condit throws a big right hand that misses. Condit throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Stern works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Stern looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Stern utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Condit loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Condit is posturing up here but Stern has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Condit tries to roll out but it's too tight and Condit has to tap! Slick submission there by Stern!
