Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sean Garner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brett Rogers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sean Garner! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Brett Rogers! The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Joseph Jones and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rogers throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Garner. Rogers misses with a series of wild punches.
Rogers shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Garner defends it nicely. Some wild striking there from Rogers.
Horrible takedown by Rogers or perhaps it was just good defense by Garner which made him look bad. No luck for Rogers with that takedown attempt. Sean Garner has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brett Rogers. Garner closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Garner lands in his opponent's guard. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Garner landing with the ground and pound. Garner throwing strikes from guard but Rogers blocks nicely. Garner drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Garner jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rogers has momentary wrist control but Garner slips an elbow through the middle. Garner is looking to work some ground and pound but Rogers has wrist control. Garner is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Garner makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Garner tries to free his leg and advance position but Rogers is retaining full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Garner wants to control from the top but Rogers keeps moving. Rogers can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Garner controls the pace. Rogers controls Garner momentarily but Garner frees himself. Rogers working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Garner doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Garner manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Garner has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Garner cracks Rogers with a solid left hand. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Rogers can do anything to dispel that myth. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Rogers wants to sweep here but Garner controlling him for the moment. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Garner throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Garner with a nice head shot there. Rogers looking to control.
Garner is working Rogers over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Garner trying to control the position from guard on top but Rogers is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Garner landing with the ground and pound. Rogers looks winded! Rogers is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Garner is working Rogers over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Garner lands a couple of digs. Garner chips away with some ground and pound. Rogers is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Rogers really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Garner. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Rogers avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Garner slips nicely into half guard. Garner drops an elbow to the side of Rogers's head. Garner wants to lay and pray for a moment but Rogers keeps working. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Rogers tries to kick Garner off but Garner keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Rogers is in trouble now - Garner has advanced to mount!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Garner with the ground and pound from mount. Garner looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Rogers reaches up to try and pull Garner in and control his posture, but Garner latches on to an arm and pivots quickly for an armbar! Rogers taps out and this one is all over!
