The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hobbs fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Silva sprawls well initially but Hobbs persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Hobbs perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Hobbs wants to work for an arm triangle but Silva is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Hobbs is looking to take a break and control but Silva is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
