The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ross tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Schmidt manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Horrible takedown by Ross or perhaps it was just good defense by Schmidt which made him look bad.
Schmidt throws a right and a left that Ross avoids nicely.
Schmidt scores with a one two! Ross had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

It looks like Clifford Ross has been cut.

Oooooh!!! Schmidt has knocked Ross down with a huge combo! Schmidt steps away and waves a wobbly Ross back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Ross is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Schmidt connects with a left and a right that sees a clearly hurt Ross covering up! Schmidt comes in with a big uppercut and Ross goes doooown! He's slumped up against the cage, eyes staring blankly into space.
