Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Perry Roscrow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Scott Thorpe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Roscrow comes to the cage accompanied by Wicked Gil. Thorpe has chosen Tom Sawyer by Rush as his entrance music. Scott Thorpe has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Perry Roscrow's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Stewart Dunkirk and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roscrow avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Thorpe changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Roscrow tries to avoid it but Thorpe manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Roscrow to the ground. Roscrow escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Roscrow shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Thorpe as he jumps to the side.

and Thorpe counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Thorpe.
Thorpe stops a takedown attempt from Roscrow.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Thorpe has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Perry Roscrow. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Thorpe has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Roscrow is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Roscrow shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Thorpe's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Thorpe pushes Roscrow off looking to stand but Roscrow dives back in and keeps control.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Roscrow is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Thorpe sees it coming and defends easily.
Roscrow seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Thorpe does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Thorpe moves in looking to clinch but Roscrow pushes him off.
Roscrow tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Thorpe defends well and Roscrow ends up having to push Thorpe into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Roscrow sneaks out the side door and pushes Thorpe away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
Scott Thorpe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Roscrow is defended easily by Thorpe.
Roscrow on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
It looks like Perry Roscrow has been cut.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
