Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ivan Jack (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Grant Manfield (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ivan Jack!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Grant Manfield!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Hugh Johnson and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jack works over Manfield's head and body with a nice combination.
Jack shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Jack was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Manfield takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jack trying to control the action but Manfield is working from the bottom.
Manfield is looking for a sweep.
Jack swings around for an armbar but Manfield sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Jack's guard.
Manfield seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Jack has his foot on Manfield's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Manfield works his way back into a safe position though.
Jack is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Manfield stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jack swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Jack working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Manfield doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Manfield manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Jack wants to stand up but Manfield is controlling him.

Jack on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Jack tries to get out of the position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jack is refusing to be controlled, as Manfield sits in half guard.

Manfield seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

Jack throws a strike from the bottom but Manfield uses the opportunity to take his back.

Manfield controlling the position well here. Jack rolled but Manfield kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.

Jack is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Manfield is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.

and Jack decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Manfield's guard.
Jack is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Manfield has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Jack thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Manfield goes for a double leg but Jack avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Jack continues to drive forward.
Manfield is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Jack gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Ivan Jack has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Grant Manfield.

Jack tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Manfield drops down looking for an ankle pick but Jack pulls his leg out and moves away.

Manfield shoots in looking for a takedown. Jack tries to sprawl out of it but Manfield keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Jack manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Manfield is breathing heavily.
Jack throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Manfield was covering up waiting for the punch and Jack finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Jack knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Manfield on the ground.
Manfield avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Manfield wants to pass the guard but Jack is keeping the position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Manfield lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Jack circles away quickly and effectively.

Jack is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Manfield has his hands clasped together but Jack extends and breaks Manfield's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Jack.
