Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Monty Ali (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mikey Gans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Monty Ali!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mikey Gans!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Eliza Hachem and Steve Erwin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
An inside leg kick lands from Ali.
Gans tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Ali was well out of range. Poor timing from Gans.
Gans looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Gans misses with a looping right.
Ali swinging wildly here.
Gans scores with a punch to the head.
Ali definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Gans swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Ali takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Gans goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Ali slips a jab from Gans.
Gans will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Ali lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Ali looks to land a combination but Gans avoids it well.
Ali throws a quick inside leg kick.
Ali fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Ali scores with a decent looking hook.

Gans throws out a leg kick but Ali moves out of range and Gans only half commits.
A swing and a miss from Ali.
Gans slips under a jab.
Ali misses with a hook.
Gans throws a poor cross that misses
and Ali counters with a nice leg kick.
Ali's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Ali duly obliges.
Ali slips a straight right by Gans.
Ali lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Ali uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Gans.
Ali throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

It looks like Mikey Gans has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ali bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

Ali sends Gans crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Ali is motioning to the referee to let Gans up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Gans is rocked!
Gans has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Gans throws a head kick that misses.
Gans is still on wobbly legs! Can Ali finish him?
Ali connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Gans seems to have recovered his senses.
Gans looks winded!

Ali feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Gans sprawling to the canvas! Gans rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Ali finish him?!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Ali batters Gans with a massive right followed by a huge left! Gans is out on his feet looking like a zombie as Ali lands a final crushing right hand to drop Gans to the mat with a gruesome thud! Ali is running around like a mad man after that fight and for good reason!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:06 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Monty Ali!
