Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between David Choe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ricky Patol (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, David Choe! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ricky Patol! The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Ren Mimura and Shigeki Sano.

Choe scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Choe wants to control but Patol is keeping him busy. Patol looks to move to half guard but instead Choe has passed into mount! Damn! Patol keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Choe takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Choe throws some wild stikes that Patol manages to avoid easily.
Choe unloads with some shots from mount but Patol bucks and avoids them well.
Patol tries to hold on but Choe pushes him away. Choe content just to control the position here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Patol really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

Patol is in all sorts of trouble here.
Choe is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Patol has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Patol wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back. Choe is riding his opponent, not letting Patol buck him off. Choe looking to soften up his opponent with punches.
Choe has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Choe is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Patol with him. Patol is trying to defend but Choe has an arm under the chin now! Patol grimaces and is forced to tap out!
