Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Wiley Wilkerson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Than Kyo! The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Chris Edwards and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kyo with a lazy takedown attempt and Wilkerson counters with a single leg into guard. Kyo didn't expect that. Wilkerson will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Kyo is trying to control the position but Wilkerson postures up. Wilkerson controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Kyo looking to control.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Kyo wants to clinch. Kyo throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Kyo is looking to clinch but Wilkerson is avoiding it.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Kyo bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Wilkerson gets a takedown into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Wilkerson stalling.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wilkerson passes to full mount! Wilkerson postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Kyo looks a forlorn figure.

Wilkerson content just to control the position here. Wilkerson landing strikes, looking to finish! Wilkerson avoids the attempt from Kyo to control. Wilkerson has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Kyo's face.
Wilkerson working for a submission but Kyo is keeping him at bay. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Wilkerson jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Kyo manages to avoid the submission attempt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wilkerson decides to stand back up. The fight moves into the clinch position. Kyo can't get the takedown.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Kyo is trying to pull guard but Wilkerson has him pressed against the cage. Wiley Wilkerson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Than Kyo. Kyo changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Wilkerson fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Kyo moves to clinch but Wilkerson breaks away and Wilkerson moves into the clinch. Wilkerson has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Kyo is trying to keep an underhook but Wilkerson manages to get the takedown into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kyo is trying to control but Wilkerson manages to pass to mount!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Wilkerson stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Wilkerson moves into the clinch. Kyo keeps control of Wilkerson as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Wiley Wilkerson dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Kyo stuffs the takedown. Sloppy strikes from Wilkerson. Those never looked like landing. Kyo has his takedown stuffed and Wilkerson counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Wilkerson. Wilkerson is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Kyo is defending well. Wilkerson effectively controlling the action here. Kyo prevents the takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Wiley Wilkerson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kyo is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Wilkerson to keep the fight standing. The referee is keeping an eye on Wilkerson - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

It looks like Wiley Wilkerson has been cut. Kyo has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Wilkerson avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wilkerson jumps guard and drags Kyo to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Wilkerson has a closed guard, preventing Kyo from standing up. Wiley Wilkerson overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Kyo throwing strikes from guard but Wilkerson blocks nicely. Wilkerson trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Wilkerson looking for a guillotine here but Kyo defends easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Wilkerson has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Wilkerson keeping full guard, as Kyo tries to pass. Wilkerson is pulling down on Kyo's head to control his posture. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Wilkerson is on top in guard.
Wilkerson is looking to stand up but Kyo won't let him.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kyo looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Wilkerson wants to get up but he can't break Kyo's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Kyo tries to land a sweep but no joy. Kyo is breathing heavily. Wilkerson thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Wilkerson seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Kyo isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Wilkerson stacks Kyo on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Wilkerson!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wilkerson wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Kyo, who protects the arm well. Wilkerson landing strikes. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Kyo tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck. Wilkerson looking for a guillotine from mount but Kyo is having none of it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Wiley Wilkerson dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Wiley Wilkerson's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!
Kyo dives in for a single leg takedown but Wilkerson sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Wilkerson turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Wilkerson advances to mount. Wilkerson landing strikes, looking to finish! Wilkerson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Wilkerson tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Wilkerson is landing with some decent strikes but Kyo is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. The referee warns Kyo that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

That's one minute gone in the round. Kyo is looking to improve his position but Wilkerson isn't that keen on the idea. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Wilkerson controlling the position easily from mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Wiley Wilkerson wasn't doing enough on the ground. Wilkerson darts in and clinches Kyo up against the cage. Wilkerson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Wilkerson misses with a head kick.
Kyo lands with a kick to the temple. Wilkerson shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Wilkerson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Kyo looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Wilkerson decides to stand back up. Wiley Wilkerson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Kyo takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wilkerson darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Wilkerson scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Still in half guard, Wilkerson seems content to control. Wilkerson is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Wilkerson is figuring out what he wants to do next. Wilkerson slips a nice elbow through Kyo's hands, connecting with Kyo's forehead. Wilkerson is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

Wilkerson works his way into side control. Wilkerson controls the position. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Kyo looking for a sweep but Wilkerson has passed into full mount! Oh no! Kyo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Wilkerson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Wilkerson in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
And that's the end of the fight! Wiley Wilkerson showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Wilkerson, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
