Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Paulo Santos and Daniel Cesar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Daves moves into range and clinches up with Maghes.
Daves tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Maghes avoids it.
Maghes is working for takedown but Daves is calmly controlling the position for now.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Daves obliges.
Daves tries to land knees in the clinch but Maghes avoids the damage to the body.
Maghes on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Daves manages to break the clinch.
Maghes gets tackled into the cage by Daves. Daves maintains the clinch.
Daves has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Maghes after a bit of a struggle.
Daves unloads a knee to the mid-section.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Maghes is breathing heavily.
Daves is pushing Maghes up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Maghes has Daves pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Daves manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Daves escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Daves tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Maghes manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Maghes turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Maghes manages to end up in side control.
Daves wants to control but Maghes postures up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Daves regains half guard.
Daves flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Daves looks like he's trying to stand up.
Daves is trying to get back to full guard.

Daves tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
Maghes trying to mount his opponent but Daves defends it.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Maghes wants to control but Daves is keeping him busy.
Daves is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Maghes pulls his head out easily.
Maghes is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Maghes seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Daves does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Daves is trying to stand up here but Maghes is controlling him well.

Daves throws a sloppy strike from the bottom. He's now off balance and Maghes manages to pass to side control.

Maghes in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Daves tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Maghes!
