Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Chopp Emup (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeff Holtz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chopp Emup could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Jeff Holtz's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Chopp Emup! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jeff Holtz! The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Joseph Jones and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Holtz throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. A clash of legs there as Emup blocks the low kick. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Emup is defended easily by Holtz. Emup shoots in and drives through. Holtz sprawls well. Holtz drives through with a takedown into guard. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Holtz's corner is telling him to maintain position. Holtz trying to control the position from guard on top but Emup is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Holtz accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Emup working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Holtz. Emup keeping moving, preventing Holtz from controlling successfully. Emup is breathing heavily. Holtz scoring with some ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Holtz throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Holtz accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Holtz is stalling in the full guard. Holtz trying to control the position from guard on top but Emup is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Emup wants to stand but Holtz is controlling the position. Holtz controlling from the top position. Emup has momentary wrist control but Holtz slips an elbow through the middle.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Holtz is pushing down on Emup's leg trying to pass to half guard. Emup is fighting to maintain full guard but Holtz has managed to sneak the leg through. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Holtz content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Emup blocking the ground and pound attempt from Holtz. Holtz slows the pace down in half guard. Holtz lands strikes from half guard. Emup is looking to control Holtz's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Emup avoid being mounted? Holtz stalling. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Holtz missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Holtz is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Holtz not doing much here.
Emup avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Holtz. Holtz is figuring out what he wants to do next. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Holtz prevents Emup from improving his position.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Holtz shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Emup napping and manages to drive through into side control! Holtz landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Holtz has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Emup! Holtz tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. This has been an exciting period of action! Holtz landing strikes from the mount. Holtz lands a big elbow. Emup really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Holtz fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Emup really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Holtz controlling from mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jeff Holtz dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Emup gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Holtz to score an easy takedown into full guard. Emup utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Holtz postures up and lands a big shot to Emup's brow. Holtz missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Jeff Holtz has got the better of the ground game so far. Holtz is stalling in the full guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Holtz distracts Emup with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Holtz postures up in Emup's guard and throws a big left but Emup blocks it. Holtz trying to control but Emup is working from the bottom. Holtz might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Emup haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Holtz is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Holtz cracks Emup with a solid left hand. Emup being controlled here, momentarily. Holtz postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Holtz trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Emup can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Holtz controls the pace. Holtz scoring with some ground and pound. Holtz controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Jeff Holtz hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Holtz looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Chopp Emup is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Emup gets caught napping as Holtz dives in and scores a takedown. Emup manages to retain guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Holtz connects with a couple of short punches. Holtz sitting in guard here, content to control. Holtz lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Holtz pushes down on Emup's leg and manages to get into half guard. Holtz takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Holtz wants to take a breather but Emup is having none of it. Holtz sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Emup defending well though. Holtz sitting and controlling from the half guard. Nice strikes from Holtz there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Holtz is controlling the pace.
Holtz wants to pass to mount but Emup is defending the position. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Holtz connects with a nice short shot to Emup's temple. Holtz is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Nice strikes from Holtz there. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Holtz controlling the action here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jeff Holtz showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Holtz throws a solid leg kick but Emup takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Holtz. Holtz shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Holtz was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Holtz just content to control the position. Holtz tries to score with some ground and pound. Emup controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Holtz scoring with punches from side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Holtz wants to lay and pray for a moment but Emup keeps working. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Holtz taking a breather here. Holtz is putting a hurting on Emup here, landing some big shots from side control. Holtz has been the more effective fighter overall so far. A lull in the action here. Holtz lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Holtz cracks Emup with a big elbow. Holtz controls the position from side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Holtz is working Emup over with some ground and pound from side control. Holtz is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Holtz scores with a couple of short elbows. Emup takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Emup takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Holtz takes a little break here. Emup wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Emup takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Holtz scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Emup to see if he's OK. Emup taking punishment in the form of punches.
Emup is rocked! Holtz lands a decent elbow from side control. Oh Emup is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Holtz is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Emup looks calm but he's in trouble here. Holtz gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Emup is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Holtz lets go of the hold and Emup can pop his arm back in it's socket.
