Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Marco Blurström and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sloan instigates a clinch.
Rode struggles to land a body shot inside as Sloan controls his hands.
Rode breaks the clinch.
Rode has a takedown stuffed.
Sloan throws a nice inside leg kick.

Sloan tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

and Rode counters with a nice double leg into side control. Sloan won't be happy with that.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Rode gets to mount! Sloan was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.

Sloan is trying to stand but he's not in a good position to be doing that! Rode has taken his back!

Sloan rolls, trying to escape but Rode keeps control of the position.

Rode is riding his opponent, not letting Sloan buck him off.
Rode looking for the choke from the back.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rode is looking for a rear naked choke here but Sloan reverses the position brilliantly into Rode's guard!

OK we're going to have a standup here. Artis Rode hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Sloan keeps the fight on the outside.
Rode scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

Sloan gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!

Rode takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Sloan could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Sloan is looking to get to half guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Sloan tries to lock up and control but Rode gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Rode looking to control but Sloan is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Sloan really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Artis Rode dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Rode keeps the fight on the outside.
Rode closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Sloan's guard.
Sloan is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Rode prevents Sloan from getting back to his feet.
Rode sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Sloan trying to keep a closed guard but Rode is proving a slippery customer.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Rode wanted to stand there but Sloan had control of the position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Rode clinches up with Sloan and pushes him back against the cage.

Rode manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Rode goes for a takedown in the clinch but Sloan prevents it.
The referee is keeping an eye on Rode - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Rode has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Sloan uses from the top position.

Rode avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Rode holds on and takes a little breather.
Sloan throws a big right hand that misses.
Rode has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Sloan should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Rode has tightened it up now! Sloan should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
