Thompson tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Malone takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

It looks like Tony Thompson has been cut.
Thompson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Thompson throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Thompson throws a sloppy head kick and Malone moves out of range easily.
Thompson takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Malone darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

and Malone counters with a good, hard body kick but Thompson shrugs it off.

Tony Thompson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Thompson looks winded!
Malone moves in close and cracks Thompson with a massive right hand! Thompson, frozen momentarily in time, tumbles to the canvas, already out cold! A brutal knockout by Malone!
