Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bully Burks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brad Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Bully Burks!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Brad Johnson!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burks throws a right hand that Johnson ducks under and follows up with a left that Johnson also avoids with ease.
Johnson tries to close the distance and clinch up but Burks swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Burks looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Nice sprawl there from Johnson as Burks shoots in.

Burks gets the takedown into side control.
Johnson should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Burks is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Johnson has escaped the position, nice work there.
Johnson tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Burks wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Burks drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Burks jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

and Johnson counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Burks kicks Johnson off and gets to his feet.

Burks is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Burks had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Johnson is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Burks Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Johnson's back instead.

Burks is trying to stick to Johnson's back but Johnson is turning into Burks. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Burks's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Johnson.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Burks shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Johnson but Johnson pushes him off and we're back to square one.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Johnson sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Burks's guard.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Johnson misses with a body shot.
Burks fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Burks looks to land a combination but Johnson avoids it well.
Johnson moves in looking to clinch but Burks pushes him off.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Johnson is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Burks doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Johnson.

Burks is looking to sinch up a triangle. Johnson throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Burks's body to avoid the submission. Burks has instead reached around Johnson's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Burks arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
