Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ron Sieler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Kimble (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kimble is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Ecstasy Of Gold. Ron Sieler could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to John Kimble's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 11 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ron Sieler!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 7 - 1, fighting out of London, John Kimble!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Chris Edwards and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kimble showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Sieler.
Kimble scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Sieler tries to land a front kick but Kimble steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Kimble blocks a head kick by Sieler.
Ron Sieler seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kimble checks a low kick from Sieler.
Sieler misses with a double jab.
Sieler misses with a looping left.
Kimble throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Kimble fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
A telegraphed right hand from Sieler misses the target.
Sieler tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Kimble is able to avoid easily.
Sieler throws a head kick that misses.
Sieler takes a body punch but keeps moving.

Sieler moves into the clinch successfully.

Sieler gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Kimble regains guard.
Kimble looking for a sweep. Not yet Kimble, not yet.
Sieler's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Sieler avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Sieler wants to pass the guard but Kimble is keeping the position.
Sieler pushes down on Kimble's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Sieler looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Well, if Sieler is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Sieler is trying to control. Kimble wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Kimble is looking to improve his position.

Sieler is actively looking for submissions here but good counter grappling here from Kimble as he works his way to full guard.
Kimble manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Sieler manages to get himself to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kimble stops Sieler from standing up.

Kimble slips nicely into half guard.

Sieler makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!

Sieler darts in and clinches Kimble up against the cage.
Kimble drops down looking for an ankle pick but Sieler pulls his leg out and moves away.
Kimble throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
The fighters circling - Sieler throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Sieler rushes in with a sloppy looking punch

and Kimble counters with a shoot takedown. Sieler fights it but they end up in guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Ron Sieler will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Sieler tries a head kick but it misses.
Sieler tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Sieler throws a right and a left that both miss.
Sieler throws an off balance right hand

and Kimble decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Sieler's guard.

Sieler wriggles free and stands up.
Kimble uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Sieler.
Sieler misses with a hook

and Kimble counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Sieler's guard now.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kimble postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Kimble trying to control the position from guard on top but Sieler is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Kimble makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Kimble wants to control from the top but Sieler keeps moving.
Kimble throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Kimble working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Sieler keeping moving, preventing Kimble from controlling successfully.
Kimble stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sieler swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Sieler is looking to stand up but Kimble isn't so interested in that idea.
Kimble engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Kimble trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Kimble passes Sieler's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Kimble is keen to just control but Sieler is a slippery customer.
Kimble stalling away here and it's allowed Sieler to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

Sieler is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Kimble doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Kimble can't find room to land a body shot as Sieler controls the action.
Sieler is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Kimble's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Sieler.
Kimble controlling the action here for a moment.
Kimble blocks the elbow strike.

Kimble breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Sieler throws a sloppy head kick

and Kimble decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Sieler's guard.

Sieler is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Kimble presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
Kimble avoids a wild elbow strike from Sieler.
Kimble takes an elbow to the forehead.
Sieler is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.
Sieler digs a right hand into Kimble's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Kimble's gas tank.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Sieler.
Sieler lands with a left to the head.

Kimble escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
We've been told by Sieler's head coaches at Elite Performance Training Center that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Sieler swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Kimble counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kimble wants to take a breather but Sieler is having none of it.
Sieler scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Kimble manages to mount him!
Kimble tries to control but Sieler wriggling away.
Sieler is really trying hard to get back to his feet.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Kimble cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Kimble lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Sieler is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Kimble trying to control but Sieler is having none of it.
John Kimble has got the better of the ground game so far.
Kimble working away from the top, dropping strikes.
Kimble trying to control but Sieler is having none of it.
Kimble raining down hammerfists from mount.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
A nice elbow there by Kimble.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

John Kimble showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kimble accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Kimble tries to free his leg and advance position but Sieler is retaining full guard.
Kimble trying to control but Sieler is working from the bottom.
Kimble lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Sieler manages to escape and get back to his feet.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kimble fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Sieler fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Kimble has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Kimble misses the shot to the body.
Sieler chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Sieler listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.

Sieler scores with a takedown into Kimble's guard.

Sieler drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Kimble dives on top into guard.

Sieler just misses with a punch to the body.
Kimble fails with the takedown.
Kimble moves out of range of the body kick.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Sieler scores with a shot to the body.

Kimble scores with a leg kick.
Kimble blocks a head kick by Sieler.

Kimble throws the left hand but Sieler avoids the punch easily.

Sieler closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Sieler lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Kimble connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Kimble fails to land the takedown.
Ron Sieler has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Kimble.
Sieler throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Sieler doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Sieler shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Kimble napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Sieler wants to take a breather but Kimble manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Sieler.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Sieler tries to free his leg and advance position but Kimble is retaining full guard.
Sieler looking to sit in guard and control but Kimble gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

And that's the end of the fight!
Ron Sieler showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Sieler has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
