5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Leonard Grumppbell! The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Daniel Bishop and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Grumppbell throws a head kick that misses. Grumppbell bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Grumppbell working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Ovaltrades is trying to control Grumppbell's posture but Grumppbell avoids it. Grumppbell with the ground and pound but Ovaltrades regains half guard under the barage of strikes. Ovaltrades wants to get back to his feet. Grumppbell seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Ovaltrades does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Ovaltrades wants to control but Grumppbell is keeping busy.
Grumppbell thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Ovaltrades's head. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Ovaltrades makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Ovaltrades. Grumppbell working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Ovaltrades had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Grumppbell defends it easily. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Grumppbell is fighting to break Ovaltrades's control of his arms but Ovaltrades is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Grumppbell tries to free his leg and advance position but Ovaltrades is retaining full guard. Ovaltrades manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Grumppbell manages to get himself to full guard.
Ovaltrades works a leg free and moves into half guard. Grumppbell is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Ovaltrades pulls his head out easily. Ovaltrades is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Ovaltrades looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Ovaltrades manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Grumppbell on his heels. He'll look to pass Grumppbell's guard now, I'm sure. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Ovaltrades advances to half guard. Ovaltrades has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Ovaltrades can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Grumppbell is looking to escape. Ovaltrades looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.

Grumppbell tries to roll over but Ovaltrades keeps him under control. We've been informed that Grumppbell has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Well, if Ovaltrades is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ovaltrades is trying to control the action in half guard but Grumppbell is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Ovaltrades is thwarting Grumppbell's attempts to control the position. Ovaltrades wants to work for an arm triangle but Grumppbell is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Ovaltrades passes to full mount! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Ovaltrades working for a submission but Grumppbell is keeping him at bay. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Ovaltrades avoids the attempt from Grumppbell to control. Grumppbell is wriggling around trying to escape.

Grumppbell is trying to get back to half guard. Jack Ovaltrades overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Ovaltrades controlling the position from side mount. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Ovaltrades's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Jack Ovaltrades wasn't doing enough on the ground. Ovaltrades lands a head shot. Ovaltrades closes the distance and clinches up with Grumppbell, looking for a takedown. Ovaltrades pushes Grumppbell against the cage but Grumppbell circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Ovaltrades closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Ovaltrades wants to lay and pray for a moment but Grumppbell keeps working. Ovaltrades is chipping away with strikes.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Ovaltrades is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Grumppbell is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Grumppbell trying to remain calm as Ovaltrades controls from the top position. Grumppbell is trying to get back to half guard. Ovaltrades is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Ovaltrades seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Grumppbell for as long as he can get away with. Ovaltrades has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Grumppbell is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Ovaltrades is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Grumppbell is not content to let Ovaltrades control the position.
Jack Ovaltrades has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Ovaltrades lands a big head kick that sends Grumppbell to the canvas! Ovaltrades follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!
