PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Malcolm Christensen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Payne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Christensen looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Christensen pushes Payne up against the cage in a clinch.

Payne manages to break the clinch.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Payne enables Christensen to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Payne manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Christensen is keen to just control but Payne is a slippery customer.
Payne really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Christensen. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

You can see the frustration on Payne's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
