Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kirk Sampson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Don Ho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Don Ho was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sampson tries to clinch up. Ho looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Ho throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Sampson. Ho tries to clinch but Sampson moves away and Sampson counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Ho! Sampson controlling from the full mount. Sampson seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Ho for as long as he can get away with.

That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Sampson is dominating on the ground here - he's now on his opponent's back, looking to sink in the hooks. Ho is in real trouble.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sampson controlling the position well here. Ho rolled but Sampson kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Ho is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Sampson gets his way!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kirk Sampson dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Sampson will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Nice sprawl there from Ho as Sampson shoots in. Sampson closes this distance looking for a takedown but Ho circles away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kirk Sampson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Ho gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Sampson counters with a series of strikes. Ho will be more careful next time no doubt. Sampson tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Ho swivels and escapes. Sampson drives through with a takedown into guard. Ho is breathing heavily. Sampson looking to pass the guard. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Sampson passes Ho's left leg - he's now in half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sampson frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Sampson controlling his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Ho tries to control the position but Sampson now has his back.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sampson is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Kirk Sampson just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Sampson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ho tries to avoid it but Sampson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ho to the ground. Ho escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Sampson fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Sampson doesn't succeed with the takedown and Ho counters with a one-two to the body. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kirk Sampson dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Sampson!
Ho throws a jab but it's blocked by Sampson. Sampson tries for a takedown but Ho circles away easily so Ho counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Sampson working for a triangle but Ho defends it easily.
Sampson has a closed guard, preventing Ho from standing up. Ho takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Ho is posturing up here but Sampson has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Ho tries to roll out but it's too tight and Ho has to tap! Slick submission there by Sampson!
