Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Avery Murphy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hunter Herse (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hunter Herse will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Avery Murphy! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Hunter Herse! The judges for this bout are William Gold, Paul Tew and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Murphy showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Herse.
Murphy fails with the takedown. Murphy shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Herse as he avoids it easily. Herse lands the left hand.
It looks like Avery Murphy has been cut. Herse is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Murphy misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Avery Murphy. That's going to take a lot out of him. Murphy shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Herse defends it nicely. Herse keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

and Murphy counters by moving into the clinch. Murphy pulls guard effortlessly.
That's one minute gone in the round. Herse wants to stand and escape but instead Murphy has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Murphy pushing down on Herse's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Ground and pound from Murphy. Herse is trying to stand.
Murphy passes the guard and advances to mount! Herse squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
Murphy wants to control the pace but Herse is squirming around nicely. Murphy has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Herse has given up his back, trying to stand up. Not clever. Herse wants to get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Murphy trying to control momentarily.
Murphy could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Murphy has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Herse has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Murphy tries to get the hooks in deep but Herse pushed the leg off. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Herse is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet. Herse is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Good control from Murphy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Murphy scores with punches to the body. Herse really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Murphy. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Herse wants to get back to his feet. Murphy has his opponent's back and is working for the choke. Murphy is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Herse is defending well though. Murphy let's go of the attempt for now. Murphy is looking for the choke from the back position but Herse is controlling his hands well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Murphy trying to control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Herse is trying to shake Murphy off. He's managed it and has hopped back to his feet! Murphy won't be happy about giving up the dominant position. Herse moves into range and connects with a jab. Herse looks winded! Murphy avoids a punch combination nicely.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Murphy clinches up with Herse and pushes him back against the cage. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Murphy successfully pulls guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Avery Murphy dominated that round. The cut man is working on Avery Murphy's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Murphy is defended easily by Herse. Murphy scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Murphy working the ground and pound but Herse is defending the strikes. Murphy is looking to take a break and control but Herse is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Herse is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Murphy tries to advance to mount but can't. Herse tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops. Herse is breathing heavily. Herse is trying to get back to his feet but Murphy has full control of the position and if anything, Herse has just worked his way into a worse spot. Murphy has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Herse's body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Murphy loading up with punches from the back mount - how long can Herse hold on?
Murphy is persistently looking for the submission but Herse is defending it well.
Murphy has his opponent's back and is working for the choke. Murphy is punishing Herse with strikes - can he finish him?! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Herse is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet. Murphy connects with a big shot to the side of Herse's head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Murphy lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
Herse wants to get back to his feet. The referee is taking a good look at Herse as he is on the wrong end of some big shots from Murphy!
Murphy is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
Murphy keeps control of the position easily here as Herse tries to buck him off.
Will Murphy go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?
That's four minutes gone in the round. Murphy has good solid back control here. Herse trying to get back to his feet but Murphy is in full control for now. Murphy is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Herse with him. Herse is trying to defend but Murphy has an arm under the chin now! Herse grimaces and is forced to tap out!
