Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Devan Hennings!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Josh West and Ryoma Takatsuka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kluge cracks the inside of Hennings's front leg.
Kluge darts in and clinches Hennings up against the cage.
Hennings has Kluge pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Kluge manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Hennings tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Kluge smiles and moves away.

Kluge gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Hennings counters with a nice double leg into guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Kluge holds on and takes a little breather.
Hennings is stalling in the full guard.

Hennings has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Kluge is proving hard to escape from.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hennings wants to stand but Kluge is controlling his posture from full guard.
We've been hearing that Hennings has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

Hennings wants to control from the top but Kluge keeps moving.

We're going to have a standup here because Devan Hennings wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Hennings tries to score a power double leg takedown but Kluge sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Hennings somewhat.

Hennings shoots in looking for a takedown. Kluge tries to sprawl out of it but Hennings keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kluge manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Hennings goes for a double leg but Kluge avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Kluge continues to drive forward.
Kluge manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hennings is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Kluge is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Kluge really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hennings. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Hennings postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Hennings cracks Kluge with a solid left hand.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Hennings lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Kluge looking to hit a scissor sweep but Hennings is one step ahead there.
