The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Palowakski stuns St Lickitung with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. St Lickitung gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Palowakski lands a right hand that snaps the head of St Lickitung backwards. My spies in Soul Supremacy Elite Gym inform me that St Lickitung has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends! St Lickitung has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Palowakski is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. St Lickitung working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. St Lickitung working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. St Lickitung advances to mount. St Lickitung fails to take his opponent's back. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. St Lickitung is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Palowakski to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Palowakski shrugs it off.

He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Palowakski has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Palowakski! Palowakski preventing the sweep. St Lickitung has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Palowakski should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, St Lickitung has tightened it up now! Palowakski should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
