25 - 17 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Judah Benjamin! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Alan Glass and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Benjamin throws a right hand that Raggs ducks under and follows up with a left that Raggs also avoids with ease. Raggs displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Benjamin. Raggs stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Raggs wants it to stay on the feet. Benjamin takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
It looks like Judah Benjamin has been cut. Benjamin tries for a takedown but Raggs circles away easily enabling Raggs to counter with a crisp jab. Willabee Raggs has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Judah Benjamin. Raggs moves out of range of the body kick. Benjamin uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Raggs . This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Benjamin with a lazy takedown attempt and Raggs counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Benjamin checks the leg kick. Benjamin throws a head kick but Raggs moves out of range.

Benjamin tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Raggs defends well and Benjamin ends up having to push Raggs into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Benjamin looks winded! Raggs tries to break free but Benjamin pushes him back against the cage. Raggs is looking to break free of the clinch but Benjamin has double underhooks. Raggs working hard to break the clinch. Raggs has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. A frustrated look appears on Raggs 's face as he tries to break the clinch. Raggs is trying to break free. Raggs breaks from the clinch.

It looks like Willabee Raggs has been cut. Benjamin takes one on the chin but seems OK.
That has opened up Judah Benjamin's cut even more. Benjamin scores with a takedown into Raggs 's guard. Raggs wants to stand and escape but Benjamin is having none of it. Raggs looking for a sweep. Not yet Raggs , not yet. Benjamin must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Raggs wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Raggs pushes Benjamin off and gets back to his feet.
Benjamin has his takedown stuffed and Raggs counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Benjamin shoots in for a double leg but Raggs sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Benjamin shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Raggs counters with a stiff right hand. Benjamin slips a jab from Raggs . Benjamin tries for a takedown but Raggs circles away easily enabling Raggs to counter with a crisp jab.
The cut above Judah Benjamin's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Raggs changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Benjamin looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Raggs creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Benjamin sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Raggs moves into full mount! Benjamin's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Raggs cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Raggs with a couple of short strikes.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Judah Benjamin's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Willabee Raggs !
