Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Wally Balangay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Youngho Kwak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kwak has chosen Brown Eyed Girls - Satisfaction as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Wally Balangay!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Youngho Kwak!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Sosuke Kotani and Yukihiro Shimada.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kwak misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Kwak throws a head kick but Balangay moves out of range.

Kwak wants to clinch up but Balangay keeps it at a distance.
Kwak throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Kwak gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

and Balangay counters with a straight right hand.
Balangay avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Kwak has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Youngho Kwak seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Balangay is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.

The crowd cheers as Balangay lands an impressive looking overhand right. Kwak doesn't seem phased though.
Balangay comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Wally Balangay is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

The fight stays on the outside here - Kwak looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Kwak closes the distance looking to clinch
and Balangay cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Balangay thuds a left hand into Kwak's body.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Balangay swats away the attempt to clinch by Kwak.

Kwak gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! Kwak tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Balangay is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and Kwak buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves Kwak!! Kwak is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Balangay throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.
