PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Champ Bombada (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roger Marsden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed right hand from Marsden misses the target.
Marsden tries for a takedown but Bombada sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Marsden ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Marsden shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Bombada pinned against the cage. Bombada gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Marsden is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

That's time! Bombada's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Marsden feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Marsden accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

I would just about give that final round to Roger Marsden.
