Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Champ Bombada (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roger Marsden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
29 - 26 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Champ Bombada! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
20 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Roger Marsden! The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Nard Betker and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A telegraphed right hand from Marsden misses the target. Marsden tries for a takedown but Bombada sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Marsden ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Marsden shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Bombada pinned against the cage. Bombada gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Marsden looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Champ Bombada has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Roger Marsden. Horrible takedown by Marsden or perhaps it was just good defense by Bombada which made him look bad. Marsden misses with a series of wild punches.
Marsden changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bombada tries to avoid it but Marsden manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bombada to the ground. Bombada escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Bombada misses with a straight right. Marsden fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Bombada avoids it really well and circles away.
That's one minute gone in the round. No joy there for Bombada, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Marsden rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Bombada moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Marsden will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Marsden looks to score with a jab to the body but Bombada is just out of range. Horrible takedown by Marsden or perhaps it was just good defense by Bombada which made him look bad. Bombada stuffs the takedown attempt from Marsden. Marsden gets slowly back to his feet.

Marsden walks into a jab. Marsden moves out of range as Bombada strikes. Marsden darts in looking for a takedown but Bombada gets double underhooks and turns Marsden into the cage. A hook to the body from Marsden.
Marsden looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Marsden tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Bombada is trying to force a seperation but Marsden has the dominant position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bombada tries to circle away but Marsden has him pinned against the cage. Bombada gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Marsden.

Bombada is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Marsden's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems. Marsden manages to break the clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Marsden thuds a left hand into Bombada's body. Marsden shoots in looking for a takedown. Bombada tries to sprawl out of it but Marsden keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Bombada manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Bombada walks into a jab. Bombada bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Marsden takes a swing at Bombada's ribcage but misses. Marsden is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. The fighters circling - Marsden throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Marsden thows a body shot but no joy. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Bombada uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Marsden.
Bombada throws a looping overhand right but Marsden ducks down to avoid it. Marsden looks for a takedown but Bombada sprawls well. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Marsden is defended easily by Bombada. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Roger Marsden dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Marsden slowing the pace effectively. Marsden continues to stall. The referee tells him to work or he's going to break them up. Marsden tries to pull guard but Bombada holds him up against the cage and eventually Marsden drops back down to his feet.

That's one minute gone in the round. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Marsden looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Bombada has picked Marsden up and slammed him! Marsden can't keep hold of the triangle and Bombada manages to pass to side control! Marsden tries to improve position but can't. Marsden sneaks back into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bombada is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

Marsden drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Bombada manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Marsden has Bombada in his guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Marsden accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Marsden throws a strike but Bombada rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Roger Marsden. I've got Marsden winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
