Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Damian Herst (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vito Starkard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Herst comes to the cage accompanied by Mr Crowley. Vito Starkard will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Herst moves into the clinch.
Starkard throws an elbow that misses.
Herst lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Herst softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
Starkard throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Herst on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Starkard throws a knee to the head but misses.
Herst has hold of one of Starkard's legs. Starkard is fighting the takedown attempt but Herst gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Herst scoring with punches to the head and body.
Herst has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Herst stands up over Starkard, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Herst's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Starkard preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Starkard really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Herst. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Herst postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Herst trying to control but Starkard is working from the bottom.
Starkard has momentary wrist control but Herst slips an elbow through the middle.
Starkard is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Herst stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Starkard swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Herst throwing strikes from guard but Starkard blocks nicely.
Starkard controls Herst momentarily but Herst frees himself.
Vito Starkard has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Herst shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Starkard defends it nicely.
Herst fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Herst drives through and clinches with Starkard against the cage.
Starkard has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Herst on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Herst blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Starkard wants a takedown but no success here.
Herst lands a body shot.

Herst lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Starkard.
Herst gets through Starkard's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Herst turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Starkard can do anything to dispel that myth.
Herst lands a decent elbow from side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Herst connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Starkard some visible discomfort.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Starkard is not content to let Herst control the position.
Herst looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Herst lands a strong strike to the head of Starkard. That's dazed him! Herst looking to finish here. Starkard is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Herst lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
