Fletcher remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Horrible takedown by Fletcher or perhaps it was just good defense by Peligrino which made him look bad.
Peligrino tries to bum rush Fletcher with a series of wild strikes but Fletcher uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Fletcher does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Peligrino loads up on a big left hand. Fletcher felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Peligrino looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Fletcher can't hide his disappointment, as Peligrino celebrates the victory.
