The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Igor Prikhodko and Fedor Mirinova.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hendricks moves in looking to clinch but Joad pushes him off.
Hendricks with a lazy takedown attempt
and Joad counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Hendricks's guard now.
Hendricks is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Joad working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Hendricks's head.
Joad wants to control from the top but Hendricks keeps moving.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Joad missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Hendricks on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Hendricks tries to get out of the position.
Joad is looking to work some ground and pound but Hendricks has wrist control.
Hendricks is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Joad is controlling him.

Joad is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Joad has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Hendricks is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Joad stands up over Hendricks, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Joad passes Hendricks's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Oh Hendricks is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Joad is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Hendricks is forced to tap! Great finish!
