Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marcus Evans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dick Tanner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tanner has chosen Mr. Tanner as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
16 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Marcus Evans! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
16 - 10 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Dick Tanner! The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Saam Ante and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Evans walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
It looks like Marcus Evans has been cut. Tanner moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Evans on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Evans fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Tanner on the side of the head. A swing and a miss from Tanner. Evans tries to clinch up but Tanner circles away and keeps his distance. Evans has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. This has been an exciting period of action! Evans throws a leg kick but Tanner moved away. Tanner throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Evans ducks under a wild hook from Tanner. Evans throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Tanner lands a big head kick that sends Evans tumbling to the mat! Tanner takes a step backwards and waves Evans back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Evans is rocked! Dick Tanner seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Tanner and Evans are patiently standing in front of each other looking for an opening. Tanner throws a head kick. It's landed, knocking Evans into next week! Ooooh that was huge! Tanner knows it - he's on the cage flexing is biceps. That's a bit weird considering he won by kick but whatever.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Dick Tanner! Dick Tanner tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
