Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between John Ripplestomp (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Man (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ripplestomp comes to the cage accompanied by Sex on Fire. Man is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: All My Life. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, John Ripplestomp! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Joe Man! The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Bruno Hogan and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Man circles away from the clinch attempt.
Man closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Man trying to mount his opponent but Ripplestomp defends it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ripplestomp is looking to control Man's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Ripplestomp avoid being mounted? Man tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Ripplestomp. Ripplestomp slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ripplestomp wants to sweep here but Man controlling him for the moment.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Man, right into the meat.
Ripplestomp uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Man. Ripplestomp tries to clinch but Man moves out of range. Man shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Ripplestomp as he jumps to the side. Ripplestomp throws a quick inside leg kick. Man shoots in but no luck this time. Man circles away from the clinch attempt.
Ripplestomp closes the distance and clinches. Man tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
John Ripplestomp has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joe Man. Ripplestomp using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.
Man looks gassed! Man tries to pull guard but Ripplestomp won't allow it.

Man works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ripplestomp is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. Knees to the body from Ripplestomp.
Ripplestomp gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Ripplestomp thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Ripplestomp is tying to control. Man wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Ripplestomp lands strikes from half guard. Man is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Ripplestomp's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Ripplestomp's back! I really don't envy Ripplestomp right now.
Ripplestomp is trying to get back to his feet but Man has full control of the position and if anything, Ripplestomp has just worked his way into a worse spot. Man doesn't have the hooks in and Ripplestomp manages to turn into his guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Ripplestomp stuffs the takedown. Ripplestomp fails in his attempt to clinch. The fight stays on the outside here - Ripplestomp looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Man shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Ripplestomp pinned against the cage. Ripplestomp gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Ripplestomp moves into range and lands a nice body kick.

Horrible takedown by Man or perhaps it was just good defense by Ripplestomp which made him look bad. Man shoots in looking for a takedown. Ripplestomp tries to sprawl out of it but Man keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Ripplestomp manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Ripplestomp avoids the body shot from Man.

Man is looking for a sweep. Ripplestomp is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Man is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Man has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Ripplestomp is working away from the top position though. Man looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.

Man closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Ripplestomp to the mat! Ripplestomp manages to get full guard. Ripplestomp working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Man. Man passes Ripplestomp's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Man thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Ripplestomp's head. Ripplestomp wants to control but Man is keeping busy and won't allow it. Man is working for a kimura but Ripplestomp is defending it quite comfortably.

Joe Man showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Man in particular looking to stall. Man wants to free his trapped foot but Ripplestomp is holding on for dear life with his legs. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Man has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Man wants to control the pace but Ripplestomp is squirming around nicely. Man gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks! Ripplestomp closes the distance but Man moves to the side and Man counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Ripplestomp is trying to control but can't.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Man lands a nice short elbow. Man is figuring out what he wants to do next.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ripplestomp is looking to get back to is feet but Man passes into side control.
Man has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Ripplestomp is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Man yanks on the arm and Ripplestomp is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Man.
