The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zambidi throws a combination that misses
and Noel counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Noel.
Zambidi is looking for a triangle but Noel pushes his legs off easily.
Zambidi has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Noel has passed into side control.
Noel prevents Zambidi from escaping the position.
Zambidi is looking to reverse the position.

Zambidi sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.

Zambidi is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Noel is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Noel has escaped and now he's on top!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Jeremy Zambidi hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Zambidi looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Noel is fending him off so far but Zambidi persists. Nope, Noel circles away and we're back to standing.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Jeremy Zambidi is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Daniel Noel.
I think Zambidi has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
