Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jan Olszewicz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Fakhri El Hashem! The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Nard Betker and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Olszewicz darts in looking for a takedown but El Hashem gets double underhooks and turns Olszewicz into the cage. El Hashem wants the takedown. Olszewicz is fighting it off but El Hashem persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Olszewicz's guard against the cage. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Olszewicz looking for a sweep. Not yet Olszewicz, not yet. Olszewicz is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Olszewicz manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Olszewicz thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Olszewicz thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Olszewicz looking to control but El Hashem is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Olszewicz throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
That's one minute gone in the round. Olszewicz tries to control but El Hashem wriggling away. El Hashem is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Olszewicz wants to take his opponent's back but El Hashem doesn't allow it. Olszewicz pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. El Hashem is trying to stand up. Olszewicz wants to control but instead El Hashem manages to regain half guard. Olszewicz thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Olszewicz not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Olszewicz thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed El Hashem's head. Olszewicz tries to pass to full mount but El Hashem defends it. El Hashem is refusing to be controlled, as Olszewicz sits in half guard. Olszewicz is trying to work for a kimura but El Hashem is defending well.

Olszewicz is trying to control. El Hashem wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Olszewicz is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. El Hashem looks like he's trying to stand up.
Olszewicz moves into full mount! El Hashem won't be happy about that! Olszewicz trying to control but he's not successful this time.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Olszewicz sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! El Hashem wants to get back to his feet.
Olszewicz swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and El Hashem is now in Olszewicz's guard. A big mistake from Olszewicz there, giving up the dominant position! El Hashem must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. El Hashem passes into half guard under a barage of strikes. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Olszewicz is trying to control but can't.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jan Olszewicz dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Olszewicz walks into a straight right hand from El Hashem.
Olszewicz is rocked!
It looks like Jan Olszewicz has been cut. El Hashem lands with a big right hook that stumbles Olszewicz - he's out on his feet here! El Hashem follows up with another monster hook that separates Olszewicz from consciousness! Olszewicz falls, almost in slow motion to the canvas! El Hashem stands and admires his work as the crowd go wild.
