4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Brian Mason! The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Paulsen Ambrosius and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hallow lands with a slapping head kick. Mason connects with a good right hand that stumbles Hallow. Hallow circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
It looks like Hector Hallow has been cut. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Hallow scores with a jab to the jaw. Mason will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. That kick from Hallow tenderised Mason's leg. Mason is trying to keep his angry face on. Hallow scores with a jab to the jaw. We've been informed that Mason has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Hallow leaves Mason with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. We've been told by Hallow's head coaches at Sun Tzu's Art of War that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Hallow throws a head kick that misses. Mason fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Hector Hallow has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brian Mason. Hallow scoring well with a low kick there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mason bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Mason shoots for a takedown but Hallow saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Mason shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Hallow as he avoids it easily. Hallow connects with a single shot there. Mason fails with the takedown. Mason looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Hallow misses with a head kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mason shoots in looking for a takedown but Hallow manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Mason's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. A nice inside leg kick there by Hallow. That's going to slow Mason down. Mason looks winded! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Hallow throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Mason shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Hallow as he avoids it easily. Hallow has Mason up against the cage in a clinch.
Hallow breaks from the clinch.
Hallow bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Mason shoots in but no luck this time.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hallow with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Hallow swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Mason. Hallow throws a quick head kick that knocks Mason silly! This fight is all over! What a finish! Hallow is up on the cage, taking in the applause from the crowd.
