Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nik Knytmare (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Genovese Giorgio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Genovese Giorgio has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Nik Knytmare!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Genovese Giorgio!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Joseph Jones and David Schapiro.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Knytmare shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Giorgio but Giorgio pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Knytmare misses with a low kick as Giorgio jumps back.
Giorgio closes the distance and clinches up with Knytmare, looking for a takedown. Giorgio pushes Knytmare against the cage but Knytmare circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Nik Knytmare seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Knytmare counters with a three punch combo that has Giorgio backing up. Giorgio nods at Knytmare to acknowledge the strikes.
Knytmare rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Giorgio moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Knytmare shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Giorgio sprawls well. Giorgio wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Knytmare gets slowly back to his feet.

Knytmare changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Giorgio tries to avoid it but Knytmare manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Giorgio to the ground. Giorgio escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Knytmare looking to sit in guard and control but Giorgio gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Knytmare might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Giorgio throws an overhand right that lands on Knytmare's shoulder, as Knytmare tries to avoid the shot.

and Giorgio decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Knytmare's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close round but I would say that Nik Knytmare will probably get the nod.
That's time! Knytmare's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Giorgio tries to clinch but Knytmare is having none of it.

Knytmare looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Knytmare lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Giorgio is looking to improve his position.
Knytmare working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Giorgio is looking to control Knytmare's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Giorgio avoid being mounted?

Giorgio has one foot on Knytmare's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.

Knytmare shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Giorgio eats them both and turns towards Knytmare to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Knytmare pivots, looking for a leg kick but Giorgio is out of range and Knytmare settles back down.

Giorgio takes the fight into the clinch.
Giorgio goes for a takedown attempt but Knytmare pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Knytmare misses with a takedown attempt - Giorgio sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Knytmare will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

and Giorgio counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

Knytmare feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Giorgios jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Giorgio changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Knytmare tries to avoid it but Giorgio manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Knytmare to the ground. Knytmare escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Some bone on bone action there as Giorgio checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Giorgio is rocked!
Knytmare will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Knytmare throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Giorgio was covering up waiting for the punch and Knytmare finishes the takedown easily into guard.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Knytmare tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Giorgio defends well and Knytmare ends up having to push Giorgio into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Giorgio is in a horrible position here. Knytmare smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Knytmare moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Giorgio has worked his arm free - good work by Giorgio!
