Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Antonio Rogerio Nogueria (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexander Volkov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Antonio Rogerio Nogueria has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Antonio Rogerio Nogueria seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nogueria tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Nogueria closes the distance but Volkov moves to the side
and Volkov counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Volkov tries to bum rush Nogueria with a series of wild strikes but Nogueria uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Nogueria shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Volkov sprawls well. Volkov wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Nogueria gets slowly back to his feet.

Nogueria tries to close the distance and clinch but Volkov swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Volkov rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Nogueria moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Volkov dodges the punch combination from Nogueria.
Nogueria shoots in looking for a takedown. Volkov tries to sprawl out of it but Nogueria keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Volkov manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Nogueria changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Volkov tries to avoid it but Nogueria manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Volkov to the ground. Volkov escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Antonio Rogerio Nogueria. That's going to take a lot out of him.
