Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Lesley Walsh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Donald Alberts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Donald Alberts told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Lesley Walsh! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Donald Alberts! The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Eliza Hachem and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Alberts throws a series of punches but Walsh avoids them all with ease. Alberts looks to land a body kick but Walsh moved away. Walsh is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Alberts's half guard. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Alberts keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Walsh prevents Alberts from standing back up.
Walsh throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Walsh sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Alberts defending well though. Alberts looks like he's trying to stand up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Walsh controlling the action here. Walsh working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Walsh seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Walsh missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Walsh wants to get back to his feet.
Alberts really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Walsh. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Walsh seems to be working for a kimura but Alberts defends the submission attempt. Alberts pushes Walsh off looking to stand but Walsh dives back in and keeps control.
Well, if Walsh is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Walsh stops Alberts from getting back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Walsh not doing much here.
Alberts is defending against the submission attempts here by Walsh.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Walsh working over Alberts with some ground and pound. Alberts looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Walsh is taking a breather. Alberts says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Walsh seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Alberts for as long as he can get away with.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Lesley Walsh just wasn't active enough. Walsh dodges the punch combination from Alberts.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Lesley Walsh dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Alberts is looking to land body kicks. Donald Alberts seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Walsh crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Alberts - the referee stops the clock and Walsh gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Alberts. Walsh manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. The fight stays on the outside here - Walsh looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Alberts is looking to clinch. Alberts lands a nice looking kick to the body. Walsh takes a step back to recover. Walsh looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Alberts with a nice cross. Alberts misses with a head kick.
Alberts misses with a two punch combination.
Walsh changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Alberts looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Walsh is trying to get an arm triangle but Alberts is defending well. Alberts tries to escape but Walsh is in control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Walsh is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Alberts is trying to stand and escape here. He's got onto all fours but that's just let Walsh take his back! Uh oh - Walsh has got a rear naked choke here! Alberts is forced to tap! It's all over! One monent is all it takes in this sport!
