Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Joshua Swanson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matheus Gaius (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Tarja Halkonen and Ben Zyskovitsi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gaius misses with a straight left.
Swanson closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Gaius did well to prevent Swanson getting side control.
Swanson throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Swanson is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Gaius sees it coming and defends easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gaius is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Swanson's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Swanson's back!
Gaius is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Swanson knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Swanson for a finish.
Swanson looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.

Gaius moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Swanson has worked his arm free - good work by Swanson!
Gaius really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Swanson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Swanson wants to control but Gaius postures up.

Swanson moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Gaius has gone for a leg lock! Swanson slips out almost immediately though and dives into Gaius's guard.

Gaius escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Swanson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Swanson pushes down on Gaius's leg and manages to get into half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gaius wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Swanson.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Gaius enables Swanson to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Gaius manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
