Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dewayne Newman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and George StPierre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Dewayne Newman has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Dewayne Newman seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Dewayne Newman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, George StPierre! The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Valeri Chadov and Fedor Mirinova.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Newman looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. StPierre with a poor takedown and Newman connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. StPierre fails miserably with a takedown attempt. StPierre fails with the takedown. Dewayne Newman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of George StPierre. StPierre shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Newman as he avoids it easily. StPierre shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Newman as he jumps to the side. Newman really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. StPierre moves into the clinch. Newman has clasped his hands together around StPierre's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Newman tries to stand but StPierre is controlling his head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Newman misses with the ground and pound. StPierre throws a couple of punches but he's in a bad position and they don't land. StPierre wants to control but Newman postures up. StPierre is trying to improve his position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Newman throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. StPierre wants to control but Newman postures up. Newman tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. Sloppy strikes there by Newman.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Newman remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. StPierre manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Newman tries to stand and escape but StPierre is controlling the position. StPierre is looking for a sweep. Newman is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Newman will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. StPierre is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Newman wants to get back to his feet.
StPierre is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Newman's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Newman's back! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. StPierre has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. Newman is defending well but eventually StPierre manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! Newman has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!
