Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Royce Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brad Kalinowski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kalinowski has chosen Crazy Train as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Brad Kalinowski struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 172.9lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Royce Gracie! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Brad Kalinowski! The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Paulo Santos and Daniel Cesar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gracie drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Kalinowski looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Kalinowski is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Gracie manages to get to full guard.
Gracie had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Kalinowski is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Gracie Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Kalinowski's back instead. Gracie tries to keep control of the position but Kalinowski is staying busy. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Gracie doesn't have the hooks in and Kalinowski manages to turn into his guard.

Kalinowski won't allow Gracie to sweep him here. Gracie working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kalinowski doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kalinowski manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Kalinowski trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gracie manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Kalinowski manages to get himself to full guard.

Gracie pushes down on Kalinowski's leg and manages to get into half guard. Gracie passes the guard and advances to mount! Kalinowski working to try and regain half guard.
Gracie has control of Kalinowski's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Kalinowski regains control of the situation pretty easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Gracie is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Kalinowski is just riding it out for now. Gracie eventually gives up the hold. Kalinowski is in trouble now - Gracie has advanced to mount! Kalinowski tries to improve his position but instead Gracie has taken his back! Kalinowski prevents Gracie from getting a body triangle. Kalinowski takes a big shot to the side of the head.
Gracie controlling well, preventing Kalinowski from escaping the position.
Gracie has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Kalinowski has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Kalinowski rolls, trying to escape but Gracie keeps control of the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gracie working for a choke but Kalinowski is defending well. Kalinowski is trying to break free.

Kalinowski looking to pass the guard. Gracie lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Kalinowski! Kalinowski regains half guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Kalinowski is pressing down on Gracie's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kalinowski is looking for a triangle but Gracie pushes his legs off easily.

Gracie is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Kalinowski is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
