16 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Birigiz Ignatiev! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Kenichi Hosakawa and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ignatiev throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Thomas shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Christopher Thomas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Thomas shoots for a takedown but Ignatiev saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Ignatiev defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Thomas. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Christopher Thomas. That's going to take a lot out of him. Ignatiev lands a brutal head kick. Thomas looks out on his feet and Ignatiev throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!
