Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Arturo Rockefella! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, John Bridge! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Alec Ball and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rockefella wants to clinch up but Bridge keeps it at a distance. Bridge shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Rockefella but Rockefella pushes him off and we're back to square one. Rockefella jabbing away but nothing is landing. Bridge fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Bridge avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Arturo Rockefella seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rockefella throws a looping overhand right but Bridge ducks down to avoid it. Rockefella darts in and clinches Bridge up against the cage. Bridge looking for a takedown. Arturo Rockefella has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Bridge. Bridge has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Rockefella avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rockefella is trying to break the clinch but Bridge has him pressed against the cage. Rockefella breaks the clinch.

Bridge keeps control of Rockefella as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Rockefella is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Rockefella wants to get back to striking at distance but Bridge won't allow it.

Rockefella wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Bridge goes for a takedown in the clinch but Rockefella prevents it.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Bridge keeps control of Rockefella as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Rockefella escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Rockefella pushes Bridge up against the cage in a clinch. Rockefella prevents a takedown attempt there.
Bridge looks gassed! Rockefella has hold of one of Bridge's legs. Bridge is fighting the takedown attempt but Rockefella gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Rockefella postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Rockefella won't allow Bridge to sweep him here. Rockefella slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Bridge is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Rockefella off and has taken his back! Rockefella holding both Bridge 's hands and preventing any damage. Bridge is hanging on to Rockefella's back as he tries to escape.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rockefella preventing the rear naked choke attempt from Bridge. Rockefella trying to get back to his feet but Bridge is in full control for now. Rockefella can't escape the position.
Bridge tightening his grip on Rockefella, looking for the choke. Rockefella looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment. Rockefella is in bad spot here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Bridge avoiding Rockefella 's attempts to control his hands. Rockefella is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet. Rockefella looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment. Bridge throws a big right hand but he misses and hits the mat. Ouch. Rockefella trying to control but not successfully. Bridge looking for the RNC. Rockefella manages to reverse the position and now he's in Bridge's guard. Nice work there by Rockefella.

Rockefella looks to clinch and Bridge counters with a shoot takedown. Rockefella fights it but they end up in guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bridge stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rockefella swivels though and keeps the full guard. Rockefella is trying to control the position but Bridge postures up. Rockefella with a couple of shots from the bottom there - nothing Bridge can't handle though.
Bridge advances position into side control! Bridge goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Rockefella rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Bridge's guard! Nice work there by Rockefella! Bridge keeping moving, preventing Rockefella from controlling successfully. Rockefella knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bridge on the ground. Bridge is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bridge has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Rockefella can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Rockefella lands a couple of elbows. Bridge keeping moving, preventing Rockefella from controlling successfully.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Arturo Rockefella just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Rockefella fails with an attempt to clinch.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Rockefella!
It looks like John Bridge has been cut. Rockefella throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rockefella is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. The fight stays on the outside here - Rockefella looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Rockefella rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Bridge moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Bridge checks the leg kick. Rockefella tries to clinch but Bridge moves out of range. Rockefella tries to clinch up. Rockefella is looking to clinch. Rockefella throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Bridge stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. A combination from Rockefella does no damage. Rockefella tries to close the distance and clinch up but Bridge swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Bridge tries to move into full mount but can't pass Rockefella's legs. Bridge scoring with punches from side control. Bridge tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Rockefella struggling a bit here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rockefella is looking to regain half guard here but Bridge keeps moving and retains side control. Bridge thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Rockefella tries to get back to half guard but can't. Bridge working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Rockefella comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
John Bridge showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on John Bridge's cut. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!

Rockefella wants to clinch but Bridge slips to the side and Bridge counters with a takedown into side control. Bridge is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Rockefella is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Rockefella is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Bridge's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Rockefella looks like he's trying to stand up.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Bridge working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Bridge is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Rockefella can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Bridge sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Rockefella defending well though. Rockefella is looking to improve his position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Rockefella clinches with his opponent.
