Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Everett Dickerson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marko Babic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marko Babic will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Everett Dickerson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Marko Babic! The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Chris Saunders and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Babic looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Dickerson shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Dickerson showed some decent athleticism there. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Babic is looking to control Dickerson's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Babic avoid being mounted? Babic wants to get back to full guard. Babic trying to control here.
Dickerson tries to pass to full mount but Babic defends it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dickerson thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Babic's head. Dickerson not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dickerson seems to be working for a kimura but Babic defends the submission attempt. Dickerson stalling. Dickerson stops Babic from getting back to his feet.
Dickerson is controlling the pace.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dickerson seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Babic for as long as he can get away with.
We're going to have a standup here because Everett Dickerson wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Dickerson forces Babic back against the cage and clinches. Dickerson jumps guard and drags Babic to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Dickerson wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Babic wants to control from the top but Dickerson keeps moving. Dickerson seems keen to control Babic's posture.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dickerson lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Babic! Babic tries to hold on but Dickerson postures up. Babic tries to improve his position but instead Dickerson has taken his back! Babic rolls, trying to escape but Dickerson keeps control of the position.
Dickerson is not going to allow Babic to sit and survive in this position. Babic grimaces as he takes a shot to the body. Dickerson loading up with punches from the back mount - how long can Babic hold on?
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dickerson is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Dickerson lands with a hammerfist to the side of Babic's head. Dickerson looking for the RNC. You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Babic manages to get to his feet, escaping the difficult position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Babic fails with the takedown and Dickerson counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Babic! Dickerson is looking to take a break and control but Babic is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Babic looking for a sweep but Dickerson has passed into full mount! Oh no! Babic slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Dickerson frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Dickerson content just to control the position here. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Babic is looking to get to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dickerson jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Babic is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Babic and Dickerson has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Dickerson working the head with strikes. Babic tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Dickerson presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount! Dickerson controlling from the full mount. Dickerson's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dickerson lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Dickerson looking to finish Babic with some ground and pound. This is bad for Babic! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Dickerson looking for a guillotine from mount but Babic is having none of it. Dickerson controlling from the full mount. Dickerson avoids the attempt from Babic to control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Babic sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Babic tries to roll over but Dickerson keeps him under control. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Dickerson in particular looking to stall. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Dickerson looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Babic is trying to get back to full guard. Babic is still trying to improve position. Everett Dickerson overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Still in half guard, Dickerson seems content to control. Babic trying to control from the bottom.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Dickerson swings away with a body shot that misses
and Babic counters with a solid body kick. Dickerson defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Babic. Everett Dickerson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Babic is breathing heavily. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Dickerson shoots in and bounces Babic off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Dickerson has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Babic is proving hard to escape from. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Everett Dickerson dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Babic rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Dickerson moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Dickerson decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Babic is trying to stand up here but Dickerson is controlling him well. Babic wants to improve his position but Dickerson is controlling well.

That's one minute gone in the round. Babic wants to hold on but Dickerson pushes him away. Dickerson prevents Babic from getting the reversal. Dickerson lands a nice shot to the head. Babic takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Babic keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Dickerson controlling the position easily from mount. Dickerson has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dickerson working for a guillotine from mount but Babic is in no mood to give up. Babic is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Babic keeps trying to improve his position. Dickerson controlling from mount. Dickerson is trying to stand up but he's being controlled by his opponent. Dickerson putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Dickerson postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Babic looks a forlorn figure.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dickerson content just to control the position here. Dickerson pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Dickerson lands a big elbow - Babic is in trouble! More strikes from the mount and Babic is forced to tap out!
