Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Josh Barnett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lenny Mclean (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mclean has chosen Oasis - F**king in the bushes as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Lenny Mclean acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Josh Barnett! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
30 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Lenny Mclean! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Daniel Franklin and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mclean cracks a nice hook into Barnett's ribs. Barnett shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Mclean but Mclean pushes him off and we're back to square one. Mclean gets caught flat footed, as Barnett shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Barnett throwing strikes from guard but Mclean blocks nicely. Barnett gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Mclean's jab looks to have found its range, popping Barnett under the eye. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Barnett stuffs the takedown attempt from Mclean. Mclean gets slowly back to his feet. Mclean shoots and misses and Barnett counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Barnett. Barnett has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Barnett working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Barnett won't allow Mclean to get back to his feet. Barnett trying to control the position from guard on top but Mclean is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Mclean wants to get back to his feet but Barnett is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Barnett wants to control from the top but Mclean keeps moving. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Mclean wants to sweep here but Barnett controlling him for the moment. Barnett looking to sit in guard and control but Mclean gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Mclean looking to pass the guard. Barnett is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mclean controls from within his opponent's guard.
Josh Barnett has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Mclean has his takedown stuffed and Barnett moves into the clinch. Josh Barnett has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lenny Mclean. Barnett looking to stall.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Mclean looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Barnett tries to clinch up. Barnett throws a head kick that misses. Barnett stuffs the takedown. Barnett tries to keep at a distance but Mclean has taken the fight into the clinch. Mclean is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Barnett pulls him back up using the underhooks. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Barnett looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mclean tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Mclean with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Barnett can't get the takedown.
Mclean lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. Barnett breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Mclean fails to land the takedown. Mclean shoots in and drives through. Barnett sprawls well. Barnett stuffs the takedown attempt from Mclean. Mclean gets slowly back to his feet. Mclean looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Barnett is fending him off so far but Mclean persists. Nope, Barnett circles away and we're back to standing. Barnett shoots for a takedown but Mclean saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Mclean is looking to clinch but Barnett is avoiding it.
Barnett shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Mclean defends it nicely. Barnett leaves Mclean with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Lenny Mclean will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Mclean defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Barnett. Mclean misses with an uppercut. Josh Barnett is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Mclean doesn't manage to clinch there - Barnett circles away.
Barnett fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Mclean avoids it really well and circles away. Mclean looking to score a takedown here. Barnett is defending well but Mclean drives through and ends up in Barnett's guard. Mclean pushing down on Barnett's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Mclean tries to stand but can't do so whilst Barnett controls his leg. Barnett is looking to improve his position.
Mclean wants to lay and pray for a moment but Barnett keeps working.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mclean trying to control the pace. Barnett wants to control but Mclean is keeping busy and won't allow it. Barnett is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Mclean is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Lenny Mclean wasn't active enough on the ground. Barnett tries to clinch and Mclean counters with a left to the body. Barnett gets a clinch. Barnett looking for a takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Josh Barnett. That's going to take a lot out of him. Mclean goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A quick uppercut on the inside from Mclean. Mclean throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Barnetts head. Mclean drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Barnett tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Barnett gets control of Mclean's arms and successfully pulls guard. Barnett will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Mclean not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Mclean stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Barnett swivels though and keeps the full guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Barnett keeping moving, preventing Mclean from controlling successfully.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Barnett bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Mclean's guard. Barnett trying to control the position from guard on top but Mclean is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Barnett wants to stand but Mclean has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Josh Barnett overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Mclean throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Mclean looking to sweep here. No luck so far. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Mclean had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Barnett defends it easily. Barnett postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Barnett missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Barnett stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mclean swivels though and keeps the full guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Mclean wants to sweep but no luck. Barnett drops back looking for a leg! Mclean is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Mclean manages to kick Barnett off! Barnett jumps back into Mclean's guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Lenny Mclean will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
Barnett changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Mclean tries to avoid it but Barnett manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Mclean to the ground. Mclean escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Danga de danga de dang - Barnett scores with a four punch combination! Mclean shoots in but no luck this time. Lenny Mclean seems to be getting the better of the standup. Barnett clinches up against the cage. Barnett is looking for a takedown. Barnett on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Mclean gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Mclean trying to control but Barnett is working from the bottom. Barnett throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mclean trying to control but Barnett is working from the bottom. Mclean stops Barnett from standing up. Mclean's corner is telling him to maintain position. We've been informed that Mclean has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Lenny Mclean hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Mclean is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Barnett. Mclean rushes Barnett and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Barnett pulls guard successfully.
Barnett looking for a sweep. Not yet Barnett, not yet. Barnett wants to control but Mclean passes easily into half guard.
Mclean slows the pace down in half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Let's hope that Mclean has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Barnett tries to kick Mclean off but Mclean keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Barnett wants to improve his position but Mclean is controlling well.
Mclean thows a huge punch but Barnett dodges it nicely.
Barnett is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Mclean's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Mclean's back! Barnett lands a shot to the body. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Mclean trying to control the hands but Barnett won't let him.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mclean rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.

It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Barnett jumps into side control! Mclean is looking for a sweep. Mclean struggling a bit here. Barnett moves into full mount! Barnett punishing his opponent with strikes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Barnett tries to control but Mclean wriggling away. Mclean wants to hold on but Barnett pushes him away. Lenny Mclean is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Mclean is squirming around, avoiding Barnett's attempts to control the action. Barnett content just to control the position here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Mclean really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Josh Barnett. I think Mclean has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
