Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gigant Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Viktor Kulakov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kulakov is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Lube-Shparu. Gigant Silva has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kulakov thows a body shot but no joy.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Silva accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Silva makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Silva.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Silva is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Silva is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Kulakov rolls with it to try and escape but Silva cranks on the arm and Kulakov is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!

In his post fight interview, Gigant Silva started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
