The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Armstrong shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Carneiro sprawls well. Carneiro wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Armstrong gets slowly back to his feet.
Armstrong dives in for a single leg takedown but Carneiro sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Carneiro fails to pull guard.

Armstrong is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Carneiro pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Armstrong defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Carneiro.
Armstrong is looking to clinch but Carneiro is avoiding it.
Armstrong is trying hard to land a takedown here. Carneiro sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Armstrong rushes Carneiro and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Armstrong breaks the clinch.
Carneiro will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Carneiro maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Armstrong could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Carneiro has cracked it and Armstrong is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Carneiro!
