Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Lone Wolf!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tyson Pain!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Skip Squint and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pain fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Wolf delivers a nice body kick.
Pain has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Wolf.
Pain shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Wolf as he avoids it easily.
Wolf has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Pros ya knows in the buildup to the fight.
Nice takedown defense from Wolf. No joy for Pain on that attempt.
Lone Wolf has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tyson Pain.
Wolf will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Pain goes for a double leg but Wolf avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Wolf continues to drive forward.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Wolf creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Pain is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Pain drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Wolf gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Pain has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Wolf avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Pain looks winded!
Wolf breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Wolf scores with a crisp jab that stopped Pain in his tracks.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Pain is defended easily by Wolf.
Pain takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
That's one minute gone in the round.
Wolf connects with a high kick.
Wolf lands a left and a right that send Pain crashing to the mat, dazed. Wolf thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Pain is rocked!
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Wolf connects with a leg kick. Pain looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Pain is still on wobbly legs! Can Wolf finish him?
Pain gets tagged by a hook that puts him to sleep! Wolf points and yells something to his unconcious foe before strutting off. Pain wakes up just in time to hear Wolf thank his coaches in the post fight interview.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:13 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Lone Wolf!
Lone Wolf retains his welterweight title!
A relieved looking Lone Wolf thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
