Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jedrzej Kowalski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tai Yumita (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Yumita is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Molly. Jedrzej Kowalski could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Tai Yumita's chin.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tai Yumita! The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Shigeki Sano and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Yumita tries to clinch up but Kowalski circles away and keeps his distance. Yumita looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Yumita throws a combination that misses and Kowalski counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Yumita! The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Kowalski trying to control the position but Yumita is working away. Yumita on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Kowalski will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Yumita is not content to let Kowalski control the position. Kowalski lands an elbow. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kowalski misses with the ground and pound. Kowalski lands some shots froms side control. Kowalski knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Yumita on the ground. Kowalski lands a few punches from side control. Kowalski connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Yumita some visible discomfort.

That's one minute gone in the round. Yumita is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Yumita is working to avoid the ground and pound but Kowalski connects with a decent elbow. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Kowalski lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Yumita down.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Kowalski cracks Yumita with a big right hand but Yumita just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Kowalski lands a nice forearm strike. Yumita wants to control but Kowalski postures up. Yumita isn't going anywhere. Yumita manages to work his way to half guard, despite Kowalski's best efforts. Kowalski sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Yumita defending well though. Yumita is staying active underneath Kowalski, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Yumita works his way to full guard. Good work. Kowalski has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Yumita is adopting a defensive guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kowalski postures up in Yumita's guard and throws a big left but Yumita blocks it. Yumita preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Kowalski throws a big right hand that misses. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kowalski accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Yumita managing to control the position. Yumita utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Yumita throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Yumita is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Yumita keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Kowalski tries to kick Yumita off but Yumita keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Yumita trying to control the action but Kowalski is working from the bottom.
Tai Yumita has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Yumita tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jedrzej Kowalski dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Yumita tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Kowalski swivels and escapes. Yumita doesn't succeed with the takedown and Kowalski counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Yumita's guard now. Kowalski lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Kowalski content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Kowalski wants to control from the top but Yumita keeps moving. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Yumita throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Yumita has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kowalski can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
That's one minute gone in the round. Yumita avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Kowalski throws an elbow that misses. Yumita uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Kowalski's guard. Nice move by Yumita! Yumita stops Kowalski from standing up. Yumita is looking to stand up but Kowalski won't let him. Kowalski could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Yumita trying to control the position from guard on top but Kowalski is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Yumita is pushing down on Kowalski's leg trying to pass to half guard. Kowalski is fighting to maintain full guard but Yumita has managed to sneak the leg through.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Yumita missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Kowalski blocking the ground and pound attempt from Yumita. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Yumita is looking to stall here but Kowalski recovers full guard. Yumita wants to control from the top but Kowalski keeps moving.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kowalski is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Yumita is controlling him. Yumita trying to control the position from guard on top but Kowalski is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Tai Yumita hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Yumita shoots in but Kowalski avoids the takedown attempt easily. Jedrzej Kowalski has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tai Yumita. Yumita fails with an attempt to clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Kowalski takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Yumita throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kowalski's waist but Kowalski gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Yumita off to one side. Tai Yumita seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Yumita goes for a double leg but Kowalski avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the ropes as Kowalski continues to drive forward. Kowalski's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Yumita tries to close the distance and clinch up but Kowalski swats him away and circles back towards the center. Kowalski keeps the fight on the outside. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jedrzej Kowalski dominated that second round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Yumita misses with a wild body shot. Yumita wants to clinch. Yumita tries to clinch up and Kowalski counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Yumita tries to get to full guard but Kowalski has control of the leg. Kowalski drops an elbow to the side of Yumita's head. Yumita looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Kowalski working over Yumita with some ground and pound. Yumita looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Yumita blocking the ground and pound attempt from Kowalski. Yumita has hold of Kowalski's hands but Kowalski slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Kowalski working over Yumita with some ground and pound. Yumita looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. We've been hearing that Kowalski has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish. Kowalski thows a huge punch but Yumita dodges it nicely.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Yumita slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Kowalski lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Yumita trying to hold on to Kowalski's head to control him but Kowalski postures up.
Kowalski not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Yumita is staying active underneath Kowalski, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Kowalski sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Yumita defending well though. Kowalski lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Yumita keeping control of the position. Kowalski is thwarting Yumita's attempts to control the position.

Yumita looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kowalski is one step ahead there. Kowalski throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Yumita works some decent striking defense from the bottom. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Yumita is trying to control the position but Kowalski postures up. Kowalski throws a big right hand that misses. Tai Yumita has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Jedrzej Kowalski is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Kowalski won't allow Yumita to get back to his feet.
And that's the end of the fight! Jedrzej Kowalski showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Kowalski, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
