Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bugs Bunny (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Richard Christy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Russell Pearce and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Christy throws out a leg kick but Bunny moves out of range and Christy only half commits.
Bunny shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Christy's guard.
Bunny in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Bunny keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Christy's head.
Bunny wants to pass the guard but Christy is keeping the position.
Bunny is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Christy looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Christy had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Bunny defends it easily.

Christy has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Bunny can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Bunny throws an elbow that misses. Christy uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Bunny's guard. Nice move by Christy!

Christy stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bunny swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Christy is trying hard to land a takedown here. Bunny sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Christy is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Bunny pulls his head out easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Christy escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Bunny gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Bunny wants to pass the guard but Christy is keeping the position.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
No luck for Bunny with that takedown attempt.

Bunny takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Christy can do anything to dispel that myth.
Bunny is trying to control. Christy wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Bunny lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Christy down.

Bunny scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Christy is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Bunny can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
