Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Badman Fool (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Akihiro Tatsui (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tatsui blocks a head kick by Fool.

Fool gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Fool lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

Fool gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Tatsui is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Tatsui is staying active underneath Fool, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Tatsui wants to control but Fool is keeping busy.

Fool with a flurry of punches that miss.

Tatsui controls Fool momentarily but Fool frees himself.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Tatsui has his foot on Fool's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Fool works his way back into a safe position though.

Fool makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Fool wants to control from the top but Tatsui keeps moving.

Badman Fool has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Tatsui shoots in for a double leg but Fool sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Fool darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Fool looking for a submission but Tatsui manages to get full guard, putting an end to that submission attempt.
Fool in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Our spies down at at Lawson MMA (UK) inform us that Tatsui has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?

Fool loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Fool has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Tatsui has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Fool can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Fool knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Tatsui on the ground.

Tatsui escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Fool gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
